Advanced Set Up

Advanced Setup Tab: This Tab has provisions for turning the filtering temporarily off. An indicator will tell when the filters are ON and when they are OFF. If the filters are not turned back on after being disabled they will return to the ON state when the computer is next started. Uncheck or check the check box in the lower right corner to temporarily disable or enable the filters.

If you do not want to use the Log feature or the TimeKeeper feature, they can be individually turned OFF by checking their respective check boxes. An indicator will show their current status. These two features will not reset to ON when the computer restarts but will remain OFF until manually turned back on.

The path for the Log Pages and the Password Holders Keywords will display at the top of this tab area.  Currently they are set to the default settings. If you want to set your own path then follow the directions printed in blue. Check your entry carefully to insure that it is a valid path. Your new files will be created within the existing folder you have chosen. Use Explorer to create a new folder if needed. Your new path will display in place of the old one. ********* Important Notes: The Folder you select to create your Log or Keyword files in must be a valid existing folder. You must use the .txt extensions in your paths or your Log File will not open. Example: You want to use C:\Windows as the path for your Page Log. Type C:\Windows\myLogFileName.txt in the box and press the button that says Set New Log Path. Pressing this button with an empty entry box will cause the program to revert to the default path.

View Page Log Tab: This Tab allows a password holder to view the Page Log. Press the large button labeled [View the Page Log]. The log file will open in NotePad unless it has been a while since you have checked it and it has become too large. Elect the option to open it in WordPad when it is offered. Use the select and delete features of NotePad or WordPad to keep the file at a reasonable size.

Enter Keywords Tab: This Tab will allow you to enter additional keywords of your own to customize control of the PC. Follow the directions on the page for entering and removing keywords. These keywords are only accessible to password holders and cannot be viewed by anyone else. Read the Help file sections on keywords for help in learning how to select Keywords.

Non-Passworded Users: If you would like to allow other users to also be able to enter keywords, but not have access to any other part of the program, you can do so by allowing them to have the Users HotKey code that came with your program. This HotKey will open a window allowing them to enter and remove keywords of their own.
